UAE Visa Authority Revives 3-Month Visit Visa with New Fee Structure

The Federal Authority of UAE has announced the revival of the 3-Month visit visa, which had been replaced by a 30 or 60-day visa last year. Towards the end of the previous year, the 3-Month or 90-day visit visa was eliminated and replaced by a 60-day visa option for individuals planning extended stays in the country. However, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) has now made it possible for travelers to once again obtain a 90-day visit visa.

The reinstatement is expected to be effective by the end of May 2023, allowing visitors to stay in the UAE for a maximum of 90 days. It’s important to note that the visa may be extendable within the country for an additional fee, depending on the service provider.

The cost of the 90-day visit visa has also increased, with prices ranging from AED 1,500 to AED 2,000, with AED 1,500 as the starting point. A refundable fee of AED 1,000 was introduced in February 2023, further contributing to the revised cost.

Application Process:

To apply for the 3-Month visit visa, applicants are required to submit their applications online through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website. It has been noted that some travel agencies are unable to utilize the Advanced Visa System introduced in October 2022 for this particular visa. Additionally, applicants can also visit an approved American typing center or utilize the official app to submit their visa applications.
