And to keep you a little motivated, I have some great news for you. It looks like we have another long weekend in the books for UAE this year! Keep reading to find out when.

Mark Your Calendars For These Days

The UAE Cabinet has announced that this year’s Union Day will give us a two-day holiday on December 2 and 3, which falls on a Monday and Tuesday. So, if we pair the weekend before this glorious holiday, that means we get a total 4-day long weekend! The perfect number of days required for a dream staycation or island retreat around the UAE.

Commemoration Day Tribute

Within this break, Commemoration Day, previously known as Martyrs’ Day, will be observed on November 30. This day honours those who have sacrificed their lives for the UAE, marked by a minute’s silence at 11:30 am. Traditionally, a holiday is given on December 1, making the break-even longer. However, this year, December 1 already lands on a Sunday and is acknowledged as a holiday in the UAE. We may see closer to the time if the UAE government decides to extend the National Day long weekend in account of Commemoration Day falling on a weekend.

Planning Ahead

You all know by now how much I love to say, ‘It’s never too early to start planning’ because it’s true! So, now that you know a splendid 4-day long weekend is coming our way in December, it’s time to get your planning hat on and make the most of the time you have now before Pirces hike up for the winter/Christmas season. And if you really want to do some early planning, The UAE Cabinet has also released the full list of holidays for next year (be sure to check that out down before).
