Travellers who are fully vaccinated with one of the World Health Organisation (WHO)-approved COVID-19 vaccines are eligible for tourist visas issued by the UAE. This announcement was made by the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA). A mandatory PCR test on arrival is a must. This announcement applies to citizens worldwide. The testing and quarantine rules of each emirate are different but this one rule is the same for all.
The WHO has approved the following vaccines until now, Covishield, Johnson & Johnson (also known as Janssen), Moderna, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, and Sinovac-CoronaVac.This announcement has come into effect from 30th August.
