This move aims to boost tourism and provide a welcome alternative to the sky-high costs of flying from Kerala to Dubai, with ticket prices ranging from AED 500 to a staggering AED 1700 (equivalent to Rs 11,000 to Rs 40,000 – AED prices are also based on the current exchange rate, values may fluctuate over time) for a one-way journey. If this plan materialises, it would mark India’s inaugural passenger ship service to a foreign land.
